About Me

By PaulChristie on 09 May 2012

In 2009, I weighed in at 20 stone, did no real physical activity and generally lived on take away food and cakes, I decided it was time to do something about it and this is where my story begins!!!!

Using the cycle scheme (which I can’t recommend enough) I bought my first bike to cycle an incredible 4 miles to the train station and back once or twice a week as part of my work commute and officially became a cycling geek! In March 2010 I purchased a road bike in order to train for a charity cycle with my work and 4 months later cycled from Brussels to Frankfurt, about 315 miles in four days. I now cycle everywhere, and at every chance. As a family I will take my 3 kids out using a bike seat and trailer, and cycle to the beach or to the woods with a flask of coffee and a pack lunch. I have lost nearly 6 stone in weight and now love anything to do with Cycling or Triathlons.

In 2013 I was lucky enough to start working with the NCCA UK and along with Adam Brushett formed the NB Heroes, representing them at sporting events and spreading the awareness of the amazing work they do!

My main sporting achievements to date have been:-

2010 - Cycling Brussels to Frankfurt – 315 miles in 4 days

2012 - Deloitte Ride Across Britain – 950 miles in 9 days

2013 - The Outlaw half Iron distance Triathlon

2013 - The Eirias half iron distance triathlon

2013 - Challenge Henley full Iron distance Triathlon

2013 - Cycling Santa’s – 800 miles in 8 days
