Wake up music "we can be heroes" by David Bowie

I woke up feeling strong - legs were good, back was good and I was feeling very excited! On the way to breakfast the wake up call came over the speakers and I have to admit, I did get a bit emotional as this was it, the final 104 miles!

Todays wake up music "I would walk 500 miles" by the Proclaimers

For the first time, I woke up tired and stiff this morning, yesterday took a lot out of me mentally and physically, but by the time I had had breakfasted and changed, I was feeling a lot better and ready to set off.

RAB day 7

By PaulChristie on 14 September 2012

No wake up music this morning due to the longer day, people were given a choice to start an hour earlier!

Today was hard, harder than the previous 6 days combined! From the start the weather was bad - cold, wet and 30-40mph head winds which lasted all 136 miles!

Today's wake up music was "Eye of the tiger"

After yesterday's really tough ride, the last thing I expected was to wake up feeling amazing, the weather was cold with heavy rain, but I was looking forward to the ride!
